This isn't a deep study but I think a lay person wanting a general 30,000 foot view of the bible. it has good quick notes on the purposes and authors of each book. I recommend this book to anyone. I work in the ministry and use it because of her ability to communicate in basic terms to a general audience.

We were looking for a quality document to help our son's girl friend to become more acquainted of what the Bible is actually saying - versus a specific denomination's viewpoint. She was raised in a Lutheran church environment, but as many people do, drifted away. This focuses on Jesus Christ as the center of everything - New and Old Testaments. It is quite factual, saying when specific authors or events are in question.

I've had this book for many, many years and it was literally falling apart and I repurchased it. It's a wonderful preview of each book of the Bible. She is a superb writer and this book has helped me in the study of the Bible. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this book!!!

I was so excited to find the book still in print and has even been enlarged. I have had a copy since the 1960's and treasured it. I lost it a couple of years ago and just incase I could find a used one I tried Amazon. Sure enough here it came brand new. I recently bought a copy for uy good friend. Her's arrived in the sane condition. We are enjoying them immmensley.Henreyetta lives on.

The content of this book is the same as the original edition. I was very happy with the written content. However, with the addition of the very nice photos the font size was reduced and it is also more faint. As a result this is unreadable for the senior citizen I purchased it for.For someone with better eyesight this would be a very enjoyable edition of this wonderful classic book.

I love the Word of God and I love to study with the right tool. I have always wanted to know and understand God's Word. My church in Michigan is using this book and I decided to get it here in Texas to help me as well. I love the breakdowns and placements of the readings and that you can go through this at your own pace. I recommend this!

This is a great overview of the books of the Bible. It was recommended to me by a friend. It lists unusual characteristics and a few pages of commentary for each chapter. I bought this for my teenage granddaughter but I will be ordering one for me as well. Very happy with it.
